Rather than trying to alleviate the symptoms of something you struggle with, Hypnocounseling goes to the source of a problem with the goal of removing it. If you are anxious, for example, Hypnotherapy won’t just advise you on how to live with that emotion, but rather it aims to unveil why you are anxious and overcome the thought pattern altogether.

The mind holds on to certain experiences during our early years of development which contribute to our current belief systems and thought patterns. As we grow older and experience new things we also create new beliefs, however some unwanted patterns linger on a subconscious level. Whether we realize it or not, these are often the beliefs that cause us to act and feel in ways that we don’t want to and can’t understand.

With Hypnotherapy we can concentrate intensely on a specific problem. By understanding the situation in a new light, we can neutralize its negative effects on us and allow the mind to accept new positive suggestions that will stimulate your physical or emotional goals.

Growing up in a home where my father practiced Hypnosis, I experienced it’s beneficial effects at a young age. Encountering this kind of therapy in a casual setting introduced me to the concept of mastering your thoughts, and imprinted on me early in life that someone can control their own reality rather than being subject to circumstance.

This practice was powerfully affirmed to me later in life, when after enduring a period of traumatic loss Hypnotherapy achieved healing and recovery in my own life. I believe in the positive outcomes of Hypnocounseling and I believe you too can use this practice to help better yourself.

What is Hypnosis? 
Hypnosis is a heightened state of concentration during which your mind is more open to suggestions in order to create desired change. 
By accessing the subconscious mind we can up root the source of psychological behaviors that have manifested into unwanted physical behaviors.

How is a session conducted? 
A session is conducted in a private, personal manner, which ranges between one and one and a half hours. During the session, a relaxed state will be reached and positive personal suggestions will be delivered that enable you to make positive changes in your life.

What are “suggestions”
They are simply the introduction of a new thought pattern. It is giving the mind something more positive to focus on in place of the old negative habit that we are removing. We discuss and choose the suggestions together at the beginning of a session.

Will I be asleep? 
No, you will not be asleep or unconscious. Contrary to popular belief, you are actually even more focused than usual and you can still hear everything around you. Although everyone experiences hypnosis differently, common feelings are muscle relaxation, feelings of the body being very heavy, light, rigid, or stiff, and sometimes the eyelids flicker.
